Walking ahead

He walks ahead if the lady and he:
- enter a
Restaurant or pub.
- cross a
crowd.
- pass a line of
seats, where people have already been sitting down. Both
look towards those, who do already sit (religious places can require a
different direction). In theatres he
takes the left seat. If necessary he let’s her pass him by at the end.
- walk downstairs
(he lets her walk ahead upstairs!) -
the rule is older than the mini …
- leave a train etc.
She
should take care of giving him the opportunity to walk a head!
On the sidewalk he walks next to the road! She has the privilege of walking on the
safer side (like children should!).
Two or more
gentleman always take the lady or ladies into the middle!
Among men,
uniformed ones have the same privileges as ladies - independent of the
age - the rank counts.
Heckers Special Hint
For dogs on the leash
it’s normally also a pleasure to walk ahead, if they have a female
human companion. - Men unfortunately got the leash better
under control in the most cases ...
