The culture areas of the German tribes. This map was specially designed for our chapter “The tribes“. It’s based on the combination of maps about the old German tribal dukedoms, the German dialects and those areas which were marked by Germans and which themselves marked the different parts of the German people. Especially the number 17 shows that this map depicts contents of this chapter and not political claims.
